The building of the Ministry of Transport, today the administrative building of Serbian Railways, is one of the most important cultural assets of Belgrade. Built between 1927. and 1931. according to the project of the renowned architect Svetozar Jovanović, this building is a real icon of the eclectic-neoclassical style. With its imposing architecture, characterized by tall columns, pilasters and harmonious proportions, the building is a symbol of monumentality and representativeness. A special detail that makes this building recognizable is the clock tower, above the central tympanum, which is surrounded by sculptural figures of Atlanta, whose authors were prominent artists of the time.

The building dates from 1950. host to the Railway Museum, and its interior composition includes ceremonial halls, offices and corridors, all subordinated to the specific function it had over the decades. Due to its architectural value, the building is protected as an immovable cultural property.

During 2019. In 2008, we started work on the rehabilitation of the building’s facades, including both street and atrium facades, with the application of restoration techniques and high-quality materials. The works included the complete adaptation of the facade carpentry, as well as the renovation of the gutters, which contributed to the preservation of this important cultural monument. The total area of renovated facades was about 22,000 m². We participated in the execution of the works to the full extent, with a special emphasis on preserving the original appearance of the building and the application of specialized restoration techniques, in order for the building to retain its authenticity and cultural value.

We are proud that we had the opportunity to be part of this project and contribute to the preservation of one of the most beautiful and important buildings in Belgrade, which has great cultural and historical value.
