The reconstruction of the building of the Greek Cultural Center at Kneza Miloša Street 14 was a challenging and comprehensive project in which As-Stan performed complete construction works. This representative building, located in one of the busiest streets in Belgrade, required a thorough renovation, but with the preservation of its architectural values.
The works included all stages of the reconstruction – from the rehabilitation of the structure, the complete renovation of the interior spaces and the treatment of all surfaces, to the restoration of the facade, which now once again exudes the original eclectic style. A special challenge was the restoration of the decorative plaster elements, which were carefully reconstructed according to the original prints. Also, all the artificial stone elements were cleaned and protected with special coatings, which restored the building to its original splendor.
After the completion of the work on the facade, an external lighting project was also completed, which now additionally emphasizes the rich architectural details of the building. Discreetly placed lighting highlights the classic pilasters, decorative vignettes and the elegance of the facade, allowing the building to shine even at night.
This reconstruction was not only a technically demanding undertaking, but also a project with a special responsibility – to restore the historic building to its former beauty, while at the same time adapting it to modern needs. As-Stan has, once again, demonstrated the ability to combine tradition and modern performance, creating a space that will last for generations.
